What we offer:
Start your project with a clear technical plan.
We work with designers, brands, and production teams that need practical support - from first pattern and sample to small-batch production, material direction, and production preparation. If you are comparing pattern making price, pattern development cost, or collection pattern cost, we quote after reviewing the real scope.
You do not need to know the exact scope before contacting us. Send your idea, references, and timeline, and we will suggest the most practical way to begin.
We can be your reliable partner and technical backbone when it comes to proper garment construction, blocks and patterns, collection development, and small-series production.
We offer flexible support - from one-time project work to long-term partnership - with a mission to help designers, brands, and businesses scale their designs and expand the value of what they create.
01 - Capabilities
How we can help
At Garment Process we develop garments from idea to real product - pattern, sample, grading, materials, and small-batch runs.
We help brands, designers, and businesses build a stronger product: with a better silhouette, cleaner construction, and a clear path to production.
- Patterns - from base styles to complex constructions.
- Samples - to test shape, proportion, and finish.
- Grading - preparing the style for a size range.
- Materials - direction, selection, or sourcing per project.
- Small runs - production after an approved sample.
- Technical files - clear preparation for atelier or factory.
02 - Project shape
You can start at a different stage
We work flexibly - with one style, a prototype, a correction, a capsule, or a small run.
01
Single style
For a specific garment that needs to be developed properly.
02
Prototype / sample
For an idea that needs to be physically tested.
03
Capsule or small collection
For several styles that need to share line, sizing, and construction.
04
Small production run
For limited quantities after pattern and sample approval.
05
Existing style
For corrections, digitization, grading, or production preparation.
03 - How we price
Why we quote individually
In garment development, price depends on the style, construction, fabric, sample, sizing, timeline, and quantity. That is why how much does a pattern cost can only be answered accurately after reviewing the specific garment.
That is why we do not use a fixed public price table. We review the project and propose a clear scope based on the real work involved.
- You receive a specific quote, not a vague estimate.
- We can begin lighter if the project is still open.
- Work can develop in stages - pattern, sample, grading, run.
- We confirm what is included and what would be additional before we start.
04 - Services
What your project can include
We recommend only the services that fit your project.
01
Pattern development
From sketch, reference, existing garment, or technical brief.
02
Grading
Size range development after the base pattern is approved.
03
Sample / prototype
Physical validation of shape, construction, and finish.
04
Pattern corrections
When an existing style needs to work better.
05
Digitization
Converting paper patterns into clean digital files.
06
Technical documentation
Measurement charts, notes, specifications, and production preparation.
07
Materials
Direction, selection, or sourcing per project needs.
08
Small production run
Limited production after approved sample and confirmed materials.
05 - Questions
Common questions
How much does pattern making cost?
Pattern making cost is quoted individually based on garment type, piece count, construction complexity, fabric, size range, sampling needs, and timeline. After reviewing references, Garment Process usually returns a fixed quote within 24-48 hours.
How is a pattern development quote calculated?
We estimate the technical time needed for pattern development, revisions, grading, sampling, and production handoff. We do not use one public price for every style because garments that look similar can require very different construction work.
Can you quote a capsule or collection?
Yes. A capsule, drop, or collection is scoped as a project based on style count, garment categories, construction complexity, shared blocks, grading, sampling, and technical documentation needs.
Do you support small-batch production?
Yes, for selected projects after the final pattern, sample, and materials are approved. Small-batch production is quoted separately according to quantity, construction, materials, finishing requirements, and timeline.
What should I send to request a quote?
Send references, sketches or photos, target size range, fabric information, deadline, sample requirements, and any existing patterns or tech packs.
How long does it take to receive a quote?
We send a clear quote after reviewing the project scope and required deliverables.
06 - Start
Send the project. We will tell you the most realistic way to begin.
You do not need a perfect technical brief - even a short description and a few references are enough for a first review. Here is what helps most:
- 01 Sketch, photo, or reference images.
- 02 Type of garment you want to develop.
- 03 Fabric or fabric direction, if you have it.
- 04 Base size and size range, if needed.
- 05 Whether you need pattern, sample, or production.
- 06 Timeline or target delivery date.
- 07 Quantity, if you are considering a small run.
